I'm honestly not a huge fan of seafood, but there's no denying that fish when cooked properly - such as with this spicy fish recipe below - can be one of those great lean proteins with many benefits. 
Other recent protein recipe finds include chicken stew; spicy canned chicken salad recipe; a high-protein pro-roll; and another salmon recipe - salmon eggs benedict with sweet potato pancakes. Plus: advice on timing pre- and post-workout nutrition. 

Most of you have probably seen the reports that a high protein diet in those middle-age and younger could be worse than smoking. I am not saying to dismiss this study but I would advise against getting too worried based on one study, and this article makes some good points about observational studies being difficult to discern the real truth from. If there is truth to it, then further studies need to be done. How can they be so sure it's all animal protein and not, say, beef versus chicken? How can they be so sure it's not the way it's cooked, say, grilling versus in the oven versus warming up pre-cooked food in the microwave? Was the animal protein from grass-fed and free-range animals? Was any of it processed and frozen? What about protein from different powders? For now, I am going to keep on eating protein myself, but - as I always do anyway - round it out with fruits, vegetables, and healthy carbs such as brown rice and oatmeal. I'm not saying you should do the same - this is not meant to be advice - but I do find it hard to put stock in one study until we find out more. If you do have a history of cancer in your family or have had health issues yourself, it might be worth checking out a change in your diet or at least swapping out some of those proteins for more vegetable proteins.
